This inspiring movie is a clip from the Oprah Winfrey TV show. Oprah is interviewing Laura Stringfellow (not Sieminskie as was reported on the Oprah show), the daughter of Jude Stringfellow, the mother of the family who raised the dog Faith. Faith was born with two severely limited front legs. They were so short and stunted that it was impossible for her to walk on all fours. The dog’s mother was sitting on her, trying to suffocate the deformed dog, when brother Reuben found the dog and brought her to his mother. That began a long, 12–week period of working with Faith, encouraging her to survive and thrive, by learning how to walk on her two back legs. Faith’s strength and perseverance allowed her to overcome her tremendous handicap and serves as an inspiration to all who see her. This remarkable dog has also been featured on The Montel Williams Show, Animal Attractions Television, and Ripley’s Believe it or Not. Click the screen below to enjoy the clip of A Dog Named Faith.
