Blind Student Found His Vision Through Painting
John Bramblitt, a University of North Texas (Denton) undergraduate, lost his eyesight to epilepsy. But he found his vision again through painting, using his hands, instead of his eyes, to “see”. He used his anger at losing his sight to regain his sense of inner vision and proved he’d found it by beginning to paint. His is a story of hope and encouragement. Enjoy the movie, courtesy of Bob Phillips, the Texas Country Reporter, a TV reporter who, since 1972, has been traveling the backroads of Texas to find the people and places who make the Lone Star State one-of-a-kind. This story was picked up at KarmaTube. The University of North Texas, then known as North Texas State University, is familiar to me, since it’s where I received my master’s degree in 1968.
